A German maker of tinplate wind-up toys founded in Brandenburg an der Havel, famous for intricate clockwork novelty toys such as the "Lehmann-Gnom," later expanding into vehicles, trains and airplanes. Regarded as one of the finest classic German tin toy makers. Nationalized in East Germany after WWII; the family re-established the company in West Germany in 1948. Acquired by Märklin in 2007; the brand is still distributed today.
