Research notes
the inspiration for this toy is not clear, but could be the Otto bicycle invented in 1882 (London); Daimler put a motor in 1885. Also, the reason for having one white and one black driver is unclear; USA pat: May, 12 (1903), Jan 2 (1906); DRP: Jan 22 (1907)
