Research notes
there is variant with a nigger clown; both versions similar to the "Mixtum" EPL775 (1927-1941); toy made with the leftovers of many other toys; the logo is different from the conventional EPL, the horizontal trace of the "L" is missing. At the end of WWII, J. Ritcher was the owner (EP Lehmann died in 1934), and was allowed to resume production from 1946 to 1948, when the company was confiscated by the russians and all the dies were destroyed.
