Karl Arnold founded this Nuremberg manufacturer, which produced tinplate toys and model ships before becoming internationally known for pioneering N-scale model trains ("Arnold Rapido"). The company went bankrupt in 1995 and was sold to Rivarossi of Italy; the brand survives today under Hornby.
