Research notes
The toy is based in the historic and famous 1936 (June 19) or 1938 ( June 22) World Heavyweight Championship (Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY) boxing fight between Joe Louis (nickname Brown Bomber) vs. Max Schmeling (nickname Black Uhlan of the Rhine). Schmeling won the first fight by KO in round twelve, Louis won the second by KO in the first round. The fights came to symbolize the struggle between democracy and nazism.
