Research notes

The toy is similar to the "Teddy" poodle from Gescha: no. 58 was made in 1935-1939, no. 56/1 was made between 1949-1952. Book 46 says the toy is marked foreign (was it made in Japan for Gescha??) - our toy has "made in Japan". The shoes pre- and post-war seem to be different, the pre-war version has lateral stiches (like ours)
