Research notes
not very visible, the front of the cart reads "F.M." on the left, and his triangular trademark on the right; F.M. filed this toy in 1911, but M. Lévi filed a complaint in court, as he was the owner of the patent, which he had bought from M. Boucheron; because of this, this toy was removed from some shops, and was also made by Lévi until 1913; the toy was produced by Fernand Martin, Georges Flersheim and Victor Bonnet. Fernand Martin made the first model with spoke wheels and a head with “look a like” real hair in 1911; the second model is from Georges Flersheim and features the Flersheim key, another label, painted hair and the closed wheels. This model was made from 1912 (our toy); the third model by Victor Bonnet is similar to the Flersheim model but has a different “Bonnet” key and was produced from 1919 until 1933. There is a fourth and rarest model, produced in 1911/12 with a higher suitcase/trunk that could be opened
